The Groundsure Thames Cruise – Make your Invite Count!

It’s that time of year where we get ready for our favourite and very popular event, the Groundsure Thames Cruise. And if you’ve received an email from us, you need to register if you want to be on board and raise money for great causes! 

The Cruise has been a permanent fixture and highlight of the conveyancing and consulting industry calendar for more than a decade now. Switching between the renowned paddle steamers The Dixie Queen and The Elizabethan for years with 150 or so guests, the event has become so successful that we now fill the fabulous Silver Sturgeon, with 400 on board last year.  

As the Events Manager at Groundsure, it is my job to make sure everything on the night goes smoothly and that everyone has a great night. I spend the whole year preparing for this day and it is very rewarding to know that our clients, partners as well as our staff really enjoy it and are eager to come back year on year.

Cruising for a Cause 

As a certified B-Corp, we want to ensure that we support the charities close to our heart whenever we can. So, this year we are asking our guests for a small donation upon registration. 

We are very proud to be able to gather so many members of the conveyancing industry in one place, it is an amazing opportunity for us all to catch up with familiar faces, see friends, and network with new contacts. So why not make the most of it and do some good? 

All proceeds from this year’s event will be split between Prostate Cancer UK and Breast Cancer UK. Two very important causes, I am sure you will agree.

So far we have raised £3,200 and we cannot wait to raise even more funds!

Another improvement this year is our very own club for the night! We will be hosting the after party at Tonight Josephine in Waterloo as we had outgrown Two Ruba in London Bridge. The big advantage of having our own private space is that we can party on and not worry about noise restrictions. We also get an extra hour of dancing, so what’s not to like? I am very excited for this year’s after party and I hope you will all enjoy our new venue!

Sunset Vibes on the Super Sturgeon  

We will be going back to the Silver Sturgeon for our beloved cruise. It is simply a lovely boat paired with incredible service and delicious food. We will enjoy the views of the city in the sunset with Ibiza vibes from DJ Glu Sound, our resident DJ. Electric Duo, two talented violinists who mix the sound of their classical instruments with current pop songs, will also come back following last year’s popular performance.

Finally at the after party, the amazing Martin Gordon from TwoTone DJ will help us dance the night away once again with his electric drums and upbeat tunes!
