Groundsure deepens its community charity support
As part of our commitment to supporting our communities, we are pleased to announce that we have awarded donations to a range of charities, as voted for by our teams.
The charities represent a wide range of vital causes, both local to our Brighton and Cornwall offices and also important national organisations, all of whose work is ever more vital in these financially challenging times.
Funds were split equally following a company-wide vote for nominations to projects and causes that were close to many of our hearts, including childrens’ education, animal welfare, environmental protection and community care.
The successful recipients are:
Brighton & Hove Food Partnership
CLEAR – Emotional Trauma & Therapy Specialists
Hayle’s National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT)
Commenting on the donation round, CEO Dan Montagnani said: “We are passionate about giving back to the communities within which we operate and are sensitive to growing pressure that many smaller charities face at the moment. We put the vote to our whole team to ensure that the causes they are most concerned about rightly get the attention.
With sustainability at the heart of our mission to ensure clients and communities can get peace of mind about property decisions, it is only right that we support those organisations looking to overcome challenges faced in the same communities, environment and natural world.”
We encourage our people to get involved with fundraising for the charities they are connected to with a support fund they can access when they personally raise funds. In addition to these charitable donations, our staff also participate in a wide range of volunteer days, which are available to everyone in the company in addition to their holiday entitlement.
It has been a great way of team building as well as linking us more strongly to our community. This forms part of our wider commitment to our local and global communities, including our support for Camborne Rugby Football Club and our Hotmapping programme to support disaster relief responses.
